Challenges to Overcome:

• Current social networking services (SNS) connect many users with people they have never actually met. Such connections are less likely to lead to life-changing experiences.
• Even when people meet through SNS or other services, the chance of encountering someone truly compatible, with whom one can share a deep connection, is not particularly high.

• Many people interact only with the same set of individuals regularly. Living within a narrow community often leads to a lack of stimulation.

JIITAK Solution:

• Delved into the primal experiences and designed the user experience to aim for. Through repeated interviews, personas were established, and customer journeys were created. We thoroughly explored what constitutes a "life-changing encounter" as experienced by the client themselves. What makes such encounters different from ordinary ones and how they come about were meticulously examined.}

• Research on the market and needs. The world is now flooded with matching apps and social networking services (SNS). We researched what users are truly seeking and what new value Hi Touch should offer.

• Concretizing the means to provide valuable "experiences". The concepts of "compatible personalities", "emotional connection", and "life-changing" are abstract, and the challenge was how to systematically implement these into the system. We developed specific mechanisms to deliver "life-changing opportunities" to many users, such as "limiting notifications to users within a realistically within a practical meeting distance", "focusing on relationships like 'friends of friends' rather than strangers", and "creating a system where one cannot become friends without meeting in person".

Designing for Engagement: Balancing Comfort and Playfulness in Our Color Scheme

To articulate the impression we wanted to give users as a service—one of comfort yet with an element of playfulness—we proposed a color scheme based on words like "comfortable," "humorous," "sociable," "compassionate," and "active." To make the content stand out and enhance the immersion experience during app use, we selected a dark grey for the app's background color. For the primary color, we chose a warm-toned gradient that evokes a sense of comfort and playfulness.

Designing Approachability: Embracing Rounded Shapes for User Comfort

For visuals that evoke a sense of familiarity within the app, objects with rounded shapes centered around superellipses were adopted. By using elements that give a gentler and more neutral impression, the visual design aims to provide users with a sense of ease and approachability.

Enhancing Usability: Fluid Interactions through Intuitive Design

To achieve intuitive and smooth operability, the design employs sheets instead of screen transitions, facilitating fluid interactions that allow for continuous user actions. This approach ensures that users can navigate the interface intuitively.
